MAP Recovery Support
The first 12 months of sobriety are known for being the most tumultuous and the most crucial to setting a solid and reliable foundation for maintained and fulfilled recovery. During the first year of their recovery, newly sober men and women will be faced with a slew of unfamiliar circumstances – during which they will be required to employ the coping mechanisms and tools they learned while in inpatient treatment, geared towards behavioral changes and relapse prevention. Additionally, those who are in their first 12 months of sobriety will likely be undergoing many geographical changes, transitioning from inpatient treatment to sober living and then finally back home or back to school or to a new residence of their own. During this crucial time period, having consistent, reliable, and uninterrupted support available is absolutely essential. The MAP Recovery Support Program offers clients just that.

What is MAP Recovery Support?
The MAP Recovery Support System is made up of an extensive team of trained, professional recovery advocates, each boasting widespread personal experience in helping other work through potentially difficult times in early sobriety. MAP team members work to identify behavioral patterns that could potentially lead to relapse, and provide clients with the support they need to reverse these patterns and prevent relapse – setting a solid and lasting foundation for meaningful sobriety. The support offered by the MAP program is phone and video conference-based, which has proven extremely effective in benefiting both the client and his or her family. Early recovery is not only a difficult time for the recovering addict him or herself, but it is also somewhat of a strenuous time for the family of the addict. Over the course of one’s active addiction, familial patterns and relationships likely shifted and adjusted to cater to the insanity and chaos of active addiction. Re-learning how to function as a family in a healthy and supportive way will take ample time and effort. The recovery advocates at MAP are available to help.
How Does Lighthouse Recovery Institute Employ MAP?
We at Lighthouse Recovery Institute truly believe that addiction recovery is a lifelong process. We understand that once one of our clients has graduated from our inpatient program of recovery, his or her journey has truly only just begun. While we work tirelessly to instill each client with the tools he or she will need to avoid relapse and maintain a solid program of recovery, we understand that circumstances and situations that we have not thoroughly covered are likely to arise. For this reason, we offer each of our clients the opportunity to enroll in the MAP program for up to 12 months after graduating from inpatient treatment. If you are looking for a program of recovery that offers truly comprehensive support, look no further than Lighthouse! We look forward to speaking with you soon.
