Addiction Rehab Programs

Call one of our admissions coordinators to help you find a detox center or the right addiction rehab programs today.

Substance abuse treatment programs vary based on an individual’s need and the severity of their addiction. Some people complete treatment on an outpatient basis, while others may need more intensive care, such as residential treatment. Our team of addiction professionals works with every patient to determine the best treatment course and find the right substance abuse treatment program for them.

Types of Addiction Treatment Programs

At Lighthouse Recovery Institute, we offer multiple types of addiction treatment programs. Some of our patients pass through various phases of treatment, while others may only require one or two levels of care.

Drug and Alcohol Detox

Drug and Alcohol Detox

Being willing to accept help is the first step toward recovery from addiction. Admitting into a medical detox is the next step in the right direction. Detox is the foundation to build the rest of your recovery program.

This time can be initially very overwhelming. The first few days when your body is getting free of the toxic chemicals and substances you consumed for months or years. Post-acute withdrawal symptoms from drug and alcohol abuse, cravings, insomnia, and other physical side effects make it very challenging and dangerous.

The relief that comes with supportive medical staff who provide supervision and comfort is unparalleled.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab (PHP)

Drug and Alcohol Rehab (PHP)

Our drug rehabilitation program is a pathway that ensures a comprehensive approach to alcoholism, drug addiction, or mental health illnesses.

Drug and alcohol treatment involves individuals progressing through a full continuum of care. Through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), we create an ideal scenario for those struggling with addiction.

We combine family therapy, medication-assisted treatment, holistic models, and other research-based treatments to offer a complete approach to wellness. Through creating a custom-made treatment plan, we give patients ample opportunities to define recovery goals and create their drug treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment

Intensive Outpatient Treatment

A standard intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP) requires individuals to have at least nine therapy hours each week. Programming consists of a mixture of several hours of group therapy and one hour of individual therapy.

Group sessions are flexible, one of the most significant benefits of this program for those employed or in school. Additionally, morning, afternoon, or evening groups are available. As a result, IOP groups provide opportunities to adjust after Drug and Alcohol Rehab.

Family Recovery Program

Inpatient Treatment Program

Our residential treatment program offers a safe and encouraging environment to start recovery. Programming consists of several hours of group therapy and individual therapy. The length of stay in our inpatient programs varies as adjust our programs based on individual needs.

For anyone who doesn’t have the support system at home, or live in a high-risk environment, our residential rehab center offers them a safe place to start their recovery journey. Most of the time, patients move from our alcohol and drug detox program into an inpatient setting, and from there, continue their personalized progress to long-term recovery.

Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-Assisted Treatment, or MAT, is an innovative approach regarding alcohol, opiate, and other addictions. MAT generally combines behavioral therapy with FDA-approved medications such as Suboxone or Naltrexone.

Upon admission into drug rehab, patients receive a comprehensive psychiatric assessment.

As a result, the clinical and medical teams work together to identify core issues. Additionally, the medical team addresses any underlying mental health concerns or diagnosis, which might require further attention during addiction treatment.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Dual Diagnosis treatment programs are appropriate for individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders. Thus, these programs incorporate evidence-based psychological and psychiatric therapies to provide addiction evidence-based treatment services for mental health and co-occurring difficulties.

In general, individuals seeking dual diagnosis treatment options need help for depression, anxiety, PTSD, or trauma. Additionally, more complex mental health concerns such as bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder may result in needing inpatient treatment.

Patients receive psychiatric evaluations, specialty group therapy, continuing care planning, and medication management during treatment.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient drug rehab programs provide weekly continuing care ranging from 1 to 5 days per week. In particular, individual sessions meet the individual where they are at regarding their current level of functioning in recovery.

As a result, OP drug rehab is advantageous as a step-down from the intensive outpatient treatment program. It helps with maintaining therapeutic advances made during prior programming and is an added layer of accountability. Hence, the outpatient addiction program’s goal is to provide aftercare support and guidance to those in recovery.

Long-Term Addiction Treatment

Aftercare Addiction Treatment

Long-term addiction treatment provides a full continuum of care for those who need it. Long-term drug rehab consists of intensive therapy and life skill development; thus, this program has the highest success rate.

In particular, patients focus on core issues and create an individualized addiction treatment program that will best meet their needs. Aftercare treatment gives people the skills and tools to thrive in recovery and their newfound sober and clean life. It extends the structure of drug addiction treatment, but it also gives patients access to support groups to help them transition into early sobriety.

Our Individualized Addiction Rehab Programs

At our Florida drug rehab facility, we have an intricate approach to treating addiction. Our primary goal is to meet each person’s clinical and medical needs through our addiction treatment programs. As a result, our drug rehabilitation center offers evidence-based therapies by experts in their field.

Additionally, those struggling with co-occurring disorders receive customized treatment plans to support them in addressing the personal challenges they experience. By focusing on medication management, trauma resolution, and life skill development, we focus on areas needing improvement. As a result, measurable progress to made during treatment.

Short-term vs. Long-term Addiction Treatment

Short-term treatment typically lasts around 30 days. However, treatment of this length may not always be effective. The National Institute of Drug Abuse says that short-term residential programs need to be intensive to have any effect. In addition, they recommend that people who complete these treatments transition into an outpatient program to ensure recovery.

Long-term treatment can last anywhere between three to 12 months. The long-term treatment takes place in a  home-like setting, but people have access to medical care 24/7. Long-term treatment often fosters a therapeutic community environment, with most patients staying for six to 12 months. Unlike short-term treatment, this method usually starts with drug and alcohol detox. It transitions into a rehab program, which is initially very strict and follows a unique schedule designed to help people kickstart their recovery. As people progress in treatment, they get access to more flexibility and start transitioning into more intensive outpatient care programming.

The Addiction Treatment Process

Addiction treatment is a complex process that typically occurs in phases. Most people being with an intake appointment and after an evaluation by an addiction specialist, they’ll determine the best course of treatment.

The Intake Process

The intake process involves an addiction specialist gathering information to admit you into a rehab program. They’ll discuss your health history and schedule a basic medical examination. Other information taken at the intake phase includes your date of birth, income, family background, medical history, employment history, and more.

Screening & Assessment

After the intake phase is complete, we follow a screening and assessment process. Here, an addiction professional will use tools like the Drug Screening Test (DAST) to determine the extent of your substance abuse.

These tools utilize an interview method to efficiently provide the treatment specialists with enough information to understand your substance use. After this process, the team will determine whether further evaluations are needed.

The Evaluation Phase

After the screening process and assessment are completed, we complete a full substance abuse evaluation. This is a more comprehensive evaluation to assess the severity of your addiction. During this evaluation, a clinical will gather information about your history of substance abuse, including the first time you started using, what substances you have used, and how frequently.

The clinician will also discuss symptoms of your substance abuse. For example, have you experienced withdrawal? What physical consequences have you experienced as a result of your addiction? Have you experienced legal difficulties? How has your substance abused affected your work, school, or home?

Clinicians are likely to use an evaluation tool like the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to gather comprehensive information about your substance use and its consequences.

Developing a Treatment Plan

After the evaluation is completed, an addiction specialist will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan. Our addiction treatment plans address areas of need, such as abstaining from drugs or alcohol, obtaining employment, and addressing any co-occurring mental illness. The treatment plan will outline the treatment services and resources that will be used to address those areas.

A treatment plan also states short- and long-term goals that both patients and therapists commit to. Experts suggest that treatment plans also make use of patient’s strengths, which is why we make sure to have a 1:1 interview with every patient before drafting a treatment plan.
