LGBTQ-Friendly Treatment Centers
The struggle and pain of addiction are compounded by people who face social discrimination and barriers to accessing care. LGBT+ individuals suffer from substance use disorder at three times the rate of the general population. Fueling and compounding this trend is the fact that individuals in the LGBT+ community face higher rates of abuse, violence, homelessness, and inadequate healthcare. Rejection by family members, communities, and schools is all too often a part of the LGBT+ experience, and the inability to access addiction treatment is an unfortunate reality for many members of the community. Attending an LGBT drug and alcohol rehab can provide a safe place to heal.
At Lighthouse Recovery Institute, we believe that all individuals have the right to access effective care and treatment that considers the diverse experiences found in different populations. This is why we pride ourselves on being an LGBT friendly drug and alcohol rehab.
